SHE TURNED THE 1960s IN A NEW DIRECTION.
She created a new philosophy: women could have the role in life they wanted to have
She set an example how every woman could do that and convince men they no longer were just girls to exploit and seduce.

She stood in sharp contrast to the frivolous ideal of women presented by Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Philosophy. Undercover as a Playboy Bunny exposing in a New York magazine story, how women hired as bunnies in the Playboy Clubs were exploited that Mr Hefner was forced to install reforms in his clubs.
She encouraged women to be who they wanted to be. She empowered the confidence in a generation of women that they were as talented and important as men.
She created with other talented women MS.magazine . It showed new paths and opportunities for women.
MS. STEINEM WAS A ROLE MODEL for women graduating into the 1970s, and encountering the hiring biases of man-dominated corporate America.
I felt she made sense to thousands of women, the young, the old, the disenfranchised.
She is as an important a woman to most women as Dr Martin Luther King was in the ending of discrimination against black Americans.
She made a difference!
Her talent as a writer. Her reason. Her courage inspired women to take chances spread their wings and fly.
The success of the American economy the last 30 years of the 20th century was substantially due to the talented tough, innovative courageous women who transformed business performance.
The decline in America the last 25 years has been contributed to by the backlash by conservative, threatened men who resent women like Gloria Steinem who are good, really good, smarter, more creative who show up men who are simply not as talented or smart. Those kinds of men can’t handle someone who are obviously right. They get rid of them. Undermine women and blame them for any little problem.
IT IS NO SECRET THAT MORE WOMEN HAVE KEY JOBS AT THE TOP OF CORPORATIONS TODAY THAN EVER.
BUT THE LEAST PROBLEM SHOWS UP AND THE TOP WOMAN CEO IS FORCED OUT AND A GOOD OLD CORPORATE MAN REPLACES THEM.
