As announced last fall when Pacific Capital Retail Partners announced they were going to repurpose The Galleria, the owner announced the first mall ever built in White Plains after a decade of urban renewal construction, opened in 1980 will close in March. Mayor Tom Roach in news reports said no proposal has been advanced yet. At the time the “repurposement” was announced, the PCRP said they had in mind retail and residential.
