200 PEOPLE FILLED THE MIRAGE RESTAURANT FOR MR. O’SHAUGHNESSY’S WVOX ST. PATRICK’S DAY LIVE BROADCAST AND THEY WERE STILL COMING IN AT 3 P.M. THAT’S DENNIS NARDONE OF DENNIS AND TONNY GOOD MORNING WESTCHESTER IN THE GREEN SHIRT AND DON SIMMONS,RIGHT INTERVIEWING ON THE AIR.

WPCNR REPORTER AROUND TOWN. By John F. Bailey. March 17, 2022:

The William O’Shaughnessy WVOX St. Patrick’s Day Party had not been held for two years but Westchester’s best party was in full swing this afternoon in the hear-yourself-speak friendly buzz & vibe at the Mirage Restaurant opposite Iona College on North Avenue New Rochelle, home of WVOX 1460.

Broadcast live on WVOX this afternoon, listeners heard a entertaining, intensely human, feel good afternoon of interviews of celebrities, neighbors, longtime listeners of 1460 WVOX, by “Mr. On the Air” himself who still runs the metropolitan area’s only 24 hour local radio station programmed by local personalities who relate to their listeners. WVOX is the “Vox Populi” where listeners can call up, go on the air and have their say and hear local movers and shakers have their say.

Don Simmons interviews Paul Feiner, Greenburgh Town Supervisor

After Don Simmons warmed up the audience at St. Patrick’s Day, eating corned beef and cabbage, with a patter of interviews with walkers-in, until the broadcaster himself who created WVOX RADIO arrived.

Mr. O’SHAUGHNESSY INTERVIEWING DENNIS NARDONE
OF THE DENNIS AND TONNY GOOD MORNING WESTCHESTER PROGRAM

Sitted at a corner table, Mr. O’Shaughnessy proceeded for the next two hours to interview listeners, leaders, city officials, WVOX personalities Dennis Nardone and Tonny other WVOX personalities, and county and state leaders, obviously without notes, shifting smoothly from civilian to leader, getting them to open up to Mr. O’Shaughnessy’s genuine interest and focused attention to them and what they did.

i have to compliment The Mirage for being a venue that allows great conversation even when the tables are filled, and serves deftly, swiftly and promotes conviviality– just like WVOX.

JURY: ANTI-ABORTION ACTIVISTS ACCUSED OF CRIMINAL TRESPASS IN WP ABORTION CLINIC FOUND GUILTY

WPCNR POLICE GAZETTE. From the Office of the Westchester County District Attorney. March 17, 2022:

Westchester County District Attorney Miriam E. Rocah announced that after a three-day trial, a jury found three men guilty of unlawfully remaining at All Women’s Medical in White Plains to prevent patients from receiving access to medical care.

The three men were each found guilty on March 17, 2022, of Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree, a misdemeanor. The defendants are affiliated with Red Rose Rescue, a pro-life religious group.

On November 27, 2021, at approximately 8:40 a.m., the defendants unlawfully entered All Women’s Medical in White Plains, a private medical office. The defendants then remained inside the office for approximately two hours despite receiving numerous verbal warnings to leave from medical staff and the White Plains Police Department.

The defendants, two of whom remained in the waiting room and one who was on the floor blocking the entrance to the office, were arrested by White Plains Police and had to be physically carried out of the office.

“The District Attorney’s Office will vigorously prosecute any criminal acts that interfere with an individual’s constitutional right to freely access healthcare,” DA Rocah said. “There are no insignificant cases when it comes to the protection of reproductive rights.”

The case is before Judge John Collins in White Plains City Court, and is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Celia Curtis. The District Attorney’s Office thanks the White Plains Police Department for its cooperation in the prosecution of this trial. The defendants are scheduled to be sentenced on June 20, 2022.

WESTCHESTER NEW CASES OF COVID MONDAY: 138. (288% INCREASE) HIGHEST IN 2 WEEKS.

New York City five boroughs report 450% INCREASE: 1,689 persons with new cases of covid in one day of testing Monday.

WPCNR CORONAVIRUS MONITOR. From the New York State Covid Tracker. Analysis by John F. Bailey March 16, 2022 updated 10:40 A.M. EDT:

Westchester County persons testing positive for covid numbered 138 persons Monday, the highest since  the February 27 –to March 5th week when the county averaged 107 a day and hit 754 cases.

The WPCNR COVID STOPPERS NOTEBOOK FIRST TWO DAYS THIS WEEK.
THE WPCNR COVID LOGBOOK

Last week  the county recorded 582 cases an average of 83 per day.

The county positive for covid numbers have been 582 total last week. (Perhaps this is because there are more people testing themselves with home kits.)

The 138 positive new covid-infected was 288% more than the Monday new covid case report of 48.

With 754 infections two weeks ago February 27 to March 5, and 582 new cases the last 9 days, this means that each of the 754 infections that week of 754 infections Feb 27 to March 5, spread the disease within 9 days (the time it takes for the disease to develop and test positive) to  1 other person, a spread rate of 1 to 1.

At this spread rate the disease continues to be a presence, neither increasing nor declining significantly.

Last week was the first week schools were opened across Westchester and the New York metropolitan area without a mandate to wear masks. Whether this week covid contagion will increase with the socializing of St. Patrick’s Day, parades,  NCAA basketball viewings and parties in sportsbars and in homes, and socializing of students in schools without masks will be factors in creating significantly more spread of the disease.

New York City new cases (all five boroughs) increased 450% in a day Monday from last week 6 week low in infections through last week of  average 600 infections daily .  Sunday New York City reported 374 new cases.

Monday New York’s five boroughs reported 1,689 new cases.

This is a 452% increase in cases in one day.

From February 27 to March 3  New York City had approximately  850 new cases and this means that each of those 850 infections the first week in March  two weeks later have spread the disease to 2 persons, roughly a pace to expand spread in New York city again quickly.

Persons should consider what this means and adjust socializations, gatherings, office and school deportment with caution.
