June 12th will also be the Hartsdale Pet Cemetery's
annual War Dog Memorial Celebration. Highlights of the event will include the following:
-the unveling of the War Dog Memorial Monument which
was erected in 1923 and has been restored to its original bronze finish
-there will be a presentation by the U.S. Canine Enforcement Program of the Homeland Security Department -- handlers and their dogs will demonstrate how they are trained to detect narcotics and false currency entering the country
